Top football finance analyst Kieran Maguire takes an in depth look at the finances of Bournemouth: Boom-Boom-Ba-Ba-Boom
He finds that financial results are not as impressive as those on the pitch. He concludes, 'Bournemouth continue to defy the odds in terms of reasonable finishes in the Premier League, an attractive style of play and developing good young players. The level of investment in the squad in 2017/18, especially in terms of player wages, is not sustainable at the present rate of growth and could result in a breach of FFP rules.'
'An over reliance on broadcast income is only a genuine problem if the club is relegated and there appears to be little chance of that happening provided the club holds onto its best players.'
...realistically it is unsustainable, although AFCB would be able to cash in considerably on the talent in their squad at present..Wilson 40 million...Fraser 20 million...Ake 40 million...King 20 million...Brooks 40 million...being the highest valued stars..and even if we lost them I would still fancy that we could hang on in The PL another season or two? Howe has got in some decent young talent in Mepham and Solanke...so the evolution is ongoing..
