New West Bromwich Albion chief executive officer Mark Jenkins has been shocked at what he found in terms of the state of the club's finances when he returned to the club. This is in spite of a profit before tax of £39.7m, up from £1m, being recorded in the 2016-17 accounts. Turnover increased by £39.6m (40.3%) to £137.9m. Profit includes the sale of Saido Berahino.
