When a football club goes into administration, the administrators and lawyers are among those who benefit. That certainly appears to be the case at Derby County.
Data from Companies House reveals that fees paid to administrators Quantuma and lawyers amount to £3.8m, no doubt reflecting the length and complexity of the administration.
Investment group MSD Holdings lent the administrators a total of £24m and will be paid in full including interest as a secured creditor.
Commercial agents Twenty First Group are to be paid £15,000 plus VAT for valuing the playing squad.
