Watford owner Gino Pozzi is understood to be open to selling a minority stake in the club. The search for new investment may be helped by their latest annual figures which show revenues of £66.2m and a profit for last season of £24.5m.
Few Championship clubs show a profit, although it was in large part due to a profit on player sales of £39.2m. Watford's wage bill has also dropped sharply from £78.9m in 2021/22, when they were in the Premier League, to £48.7m.
